We report what can be confirmed and say plainly what cannot. Words we quote are attributed to the people who said them.

Independence

No advertiser, sponsor or commercial partner decides what we cover or how we cover it. When advertising appears on the site, it is marked “Advertisement” and kept apart from our journalism.

News and opinion

Reporting tells what happened; views and arguments belong to the Opinion section, where they are presented as the view of their author.

Corrections

When we get something wrong, we correct it. Tell us through the Contact form in the footer, or write to editor@hautmondepost.com, naming the article and what needs to change.
